Pretty Good When You're Out and About

I use Designer Whey's normal protein powder and have like it a lot, but it can be hard to transport in single servings for an afternoon shot at work, so when I saw this product I figured I'd give it a shot. It's not bad at all. The 10g of protein is a good amount and the low calories are nice. It also has some other nutrients, which may be helpful. The powder dissolved relatively well in a glass of cold water for me with some stirring. The taste was good for a protein powder, though not as good as the normal powders. It is lighter than the normal powders, so the texture is better. The main issue with the taste is the artificial sweeteners which I don't like, but in this they are certainly tolerable. I plan on continuing using this product for a late afternoon boost to hold me over until dinner.
Tastes good.

This protein drink doesn't taste bad at all, unlike many protein drink that I have used in the past. I had to drink those in a flash to avoid the offensive nauseating taste.
This one definitely has a palatable taste and I can drink it in sips during my work outs.
Not a good choice for protein!

I have tried several different protein powders, but ON 100% Whey is still the best. However, I was open to trying this because of the convenience and the promise of a tastier flavor. I like pomegranate flavors normally, but this one did not taste very good at all! Also, the benefit of these is supposed to convenience--you can mix them into a 16oz bottled water. These actually end up being very inconvenient, though, since in order to mix them in, you have to drink about half the bottle of water first! Finally, for all the trouble and bad taste, you only get 10g of protein. If you want protein just buy a regular powder. These are no more convenient, taste a lot worse, and are a lot more expensive per gram.
Undrinkable

I really couldn't get it down, the taste was awful. I have tried to add more water but still couldn't drink it.

Another problem was the color, tons and tons of Red #40!!! If I consumed the whole package I am convinced that I would have developed allergy to this colorant. Luckily the awful taste has saved me.

Why do people put chemicals in "health" products. Why do people put chemicals in food at all? I cannot recommend this product simply because it's not good for you.
What are you looking to get out of this product???

If you are a casual exerciser (meaning, light weight cardio or weights, for 20-30 minutes a day, 3 times a week or around there), then this is a good SUPPLEMENT (READ: don't just use this as your protein source). It tastes good, dissolves easily, and has enough proteins for a good, light, post-workout drink. Also, a good light supplement for vegetarians.

If you are a sport athlete, forget it. This is baby stuff that really isn't well designed for a true athlete's needs. For that, I reccomend getting hydrolyzed whey protein isolate or a protein/carb mix. Not too mention, because you sports buffs (I used to be one), chug protein shakes in your sleep, this product IS COMPLETELY a waste of money for the amount and quality of nutrition you get. Check out All The Whey products OR Gold Standard Whey for a good balance of nutrients that's high quality, and right for the money/amount.
